It's a Busy Week on the Farm!

It’s a busy week on the farm! Today is herd health day and the kids are off to school. I’m excited to just go farm today.

I’m also excited because this weekend is my second Farm + Grow – Mastermind! I’m very excited to have a room full of women masterminding and growing together.

Our vet will be here today to check a selection of cows. Something I wish more people knew is just how much farmers work with different specialists to care for their herd and land. We are not out here doing this alone!

I give a glimpse into our maternity pen where all the cows are pregnant and due to calve within the next week or two. We keep them in this nice open pack and keep a close eye on them. We welcomed a new calf and the twins were busy making sure she was warm!

Off to do farm mom sh*t aka keep the kids alive and safe while being entertained and having fun on the farm. Today’s fun was pulling them around the shop. It’s a full-time and very important job. I also make sure they get some work done and luckily they think their work is play.

We ended the night grilling for some dinner. How come when Tom’s grilling he gets to just chill, but when I grill I have to run back and forth in the house, I’m grilling the meat, making the sides, giving the kids baths, doing all the things.

Tonight I grilled a flank steak for ginger steak salads. Guys, it’s so good. Here’s the recipe.
