Easy + Cheesy Pizza Casserole

Time for another make-ahead meal! Before I head out for chores tonight, I’m prepping Pizza Casserole.

This casserole can be assembled, refrigerated, and baked right before serving. Simply assemble the casserole, cover it with plastic wrap, and store it in the fridge for up to two days or in the freezer for up to three months. Since the casserole will be cold, you will need to bake it for about 10 minutes longer. If frozen, thaw it in the fridge overnight before baking.

INGREDIENTS

1lb of cooked ground beef
24 ounces of marinara sauce
8 ounces of canned tomato sauce
12 ounces pasta
3-4 cups of mozzarella
4 ounces pepperonis
1 tsp garlic powder
1 TBS Italian seasoning

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Fill a large pot with water, season the water generously with salt, and bring it up to a boil over high heat. Cook the pasta in the boiling water according to the package instructions, until al dente. Strain the pasta into a colander placed in the sink and set it aside.
2. Brown ground beef or medium heat. Season with garlic, Italian seasonings and salt and pepper.
3. Combine meat, pasta and sauces into a casserole dish.
4. Mix in two cups of cheese
5. Top with remaining cheese and pepperonis.
6. Bake at 375 degrees for about 25 minutes or until warm and bubbly.
